Because we have both been working in the creative field all our lives, we understand that creative practitioners are often on a low income, therefore, Studio Faire has been set up with this in mind and aims to cater for artists who enjoy their independence and prefer minimum ‘frills’ in order to keep costs down.
If you would like help to raise funds for your residency, get in touch for a chat, we may be able to assist you. Further details below.
We offer residencies from the beginning of April to the end of October, from 2 – 4 weeks long.
Our residencies begin on a Thursday and end on a Wednesday.
Because every season in the Lot-et-Garonne offers up different inspiration and all creative people are looking for different experiences, we keep things simple with our prices remaining the same throughout the year.
We can take you to the supermarket when you arrive (or you can walk to the shops alone if you prefer) and you will be able to walk up to the weekly market on Saturday morning to fill your cupboard with fresh, local produce so you can then focus on your work in the week ahead!
You can apply for 2, 3 or 4 weeks. The longer you stay, the cheaper the cost per day, with 4 weeks working out significantly cheaper than the rest at around 35€ per day. Below you will find rates per person per week.
Rates include: Private bedroom and workspace, shared shower room, toilets, kitchen, dining room and gardens, plus cleaning and WiFi.

The rest of the world
If you have a specific project in mind and you feel that you will be able to convince friends and family that this project will benefit your practice, you may be able to raise the money for your residency through a crowdfunding campaign.
Having run a successful campaign for Studio Faire in 2016, we would be happy to help and advise you with this process should you wish.
As our deadlines fall at least three months before the date on which you would like to start your residency, we suggest that you plan at least six months ahead. This will allow you one month for planning and preparing, and one month for the campaign.
There are plenty of Crowdfunding websites to choose from. These are rated the top three:
Please contact us if you’d like to discuss these funding options further or would like our assistance with your application or campaign.
