First the BAD News:

In response to COVID-19, Studio Faire closed its doors to residents temporarily from 17 March 2020.

We were sad to say goodbye early to our two residents, Kate Corroon Skakel (pictured), who was with us devising multimedia, site specific installations, and the writer and performer, Lucy Moir, who was in residence to develop her successful play into a mini-series.

We were not only impressed by the talent of these two women, but also by their self-sufficiency and bravery in the face of this global pandemic!

We are also sad to have to postpone the residencies of multiple other residents over the next couple of months, including the visit of Canadian Visual Artist, Collette Broeders, who has been collecting words from the good people of Nérac in order to investigate the connection between artist, place and the local community. These words were to inform a performance piece, Project Nérac – Walking a Line which would be created during her residency.

We had planned to hold a special Open Studio Event this Sunday (22 March). At this event visitors were to be invited to discover Kate’s site-specific installation ‘Murmurations‘ and chat to friends over a glass of wine in the garden.

Sadly, we must cancel our invitation to come to Studio Faire this Sunday.

And now for the GOOD News:

OUR EVENT IS GOING AHEAD…DIGITALLY!

Please grab a glass of rosé and join us this Sunday at 5pm for a Studio Faire Facebook Live Event at:

www.facebook.com/studiofaire

During this event ‘Murmurations‘ will be revealed.

This will be followed by Collette’s reimagined performance which will now focus on ‘self-isolation’ and ‘social distancing’. Find full details in advance of the performance at: Solidarity – Walking a Line

We look forward to hearing your thoughts!
