Psst… fancy a date with us every weekend for the next few weeks?

How about watching a bunch of short films with us? Films curated by some folks from Fox Searchlight, Executive Directors of the Oxford Film Festival in Mississippi, the head of New York Women and Film and Television and … wait for it … Studio Faire in France!

And all for FREE from your own armchair.

Sounds amazing, right? Let us tell you a bit more…

This offering has been devised by Filmshop, ‘a non-profit organization committed to developing new work through peer support and collaboration‘. Normally, they hold meetings in New York City, New Orleans and Los Angeles, yet given the pandemic, they have decided to take things online and have created a new initiative called ‘Filmshop Exhibition’ … a curated online presentation of their member’s films.

FILMSHOP EXHIBITION 2020
Every weekend between 10 September and 24 October 2020
All films can be watched for free!

The screenings all take place on Vimeo. You just have to register on Eventbrite for each one and then watch them within 24 hours of the start time.

We were invited to curate a 90 minute block of short films by our past resident Victoria Negri, who is Filmshop’s Co-leader.
Studio Faire’s curated block will exhibit on Sunday 4 October from 2am CEST
(or Saturday, October 3rd from 7:00pm CT)

The Eventbrite Link to register for this event is:

Studio Faire’s film choices focus on recurring themes commonly affecting human emotions today. Do we feel supported to be and do what feels natural to us? Can our closest relationships survive the pressures and expectations of this modern world? How are we coping in this fast-paced digital age? Let me Google that for you…

White Face – Mtume Gant
What’s this one about – Max Rothman
